I’ve been really liking Ann Taylor’s line of tweed jackets this season– the quality is quite good for the sale price, and they’re a nice way to look polished while keeping warm in the office. I picked up this black tweed fringe jacket a couple weeks ago and it’s been on heavy rotation in my wardrobe ever since! A great alternative to my standard work blazers. The jacket is available in regular and petite sizes, and (as of this post) it’s currently 40% off. I found the Petite 00 to run true to size. I also recently picked up this piped tweed jacket (also 40% off right now) and plan to write up a review of that one soon. Meanwhile, here are a few ways I’ve worn the tweed fringe jacket so far, for work and play.
I hit a lull in my work schedule late last week and finally had a chance to take an extended weekend off, just in time to deal with a leaky roof courtesy of Joaquin! So much for rest and relaxation… darn tropical storms. At any rate, here’s what I wore on my day back in the office.
From far away, the pattern on this navy tweed dress reminds me of my aunt’s old sofa cushions, but trust me from up close it’s actually quite pretty! The vertical lines also help to visually lengthen/slim the body.
Here’s what this outfit looks like sans blazer…
Hope you’re having a good week, everyone. Hang in there, it’s almost Friday!!!
You know that feeling you get when you’ve been working hard all week, and your co-worker mentions that you get Monday off in observance of President’s Day? I love that feeling.
