Halloween DIY: Last-Minute Costume Ideas Using a Classic Striped Shirt.

If you’re like me, you’ve realized that Halloween is just around the corner and you haven’t put much thought into a costume yet. Moreover, you don’t want to go all out and spend money on an uncomfortable costume that will only be worn once. Well, never fear! I’ve done some brainstorming and come up with a few costume ideas using a staple item from my closet (also found in many women’s closets these days): the striped shirt.

COSTUME IDEA #1

Items from closet:

Other accessories: Black eye mask, pillowcase, flashlight.

= BURGLAR

Items from closet:

Other accessories: Eye patch, heavy black eyeliner, toy sword (optional).

= PIRATE, ARRRRG

Other accessories: A really long walking stick or oar, ability to belt out a tune (optional).

Other accessories: Thick dark-rimmed glasses, walking stick or cane.

 Other accessories: Thick dark-rimmed glasses, red lipstick, messy hair, heels, flask or wine glass (very necessary).

      Thanks! I love the Katniss idea, it sounds super comfortable– I get cold really easily, so a costume that allows me to have fun while keeping warm outside is always a plus 🙂
